Global Exponential Attitude Tracking Controls on SO(3) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper presents four types of tracking control systems for the attitude dynamics of a rigid body. First, a smooth control system is constructed to track a given desired attitude trajectory, while guaranteeing almost semi-global exponential stability.

Attitude and Gyro Bias Estimation Using GPS and IMU Measurements

open access: yes, 2017
We propose an attitude and gyro-bias estimation scheme for accelerated rigid body systems using an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and a global positioning system (GPS).

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

On Global Exponential Stability of Discrete-Time Hopfield Neural Networks with Variable Delays

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2007
Global exponential stability of a class of discrete-time Hopfield neural networks with variable delays is considered. By making use of a difference inequality, a new global exponential stability result is provided.

The split step theta balanced numerical approximations of stochastic time varying Hopfield neural networks with distributed delays

open access: yesResults in Control and Optimization, 2023
In this paper, split step theta balanced Euler approximations for stochastic time-varying delay Hopfield neural networks (HNN) with distributed delays are examined for their exponential stability and strong convergence.

Global existence, uniqueness and stability for nonlinear dissipative bulk-interface interaction systems

open access: yes, 2020
We show global well-posedness and exponential stability of equilibria for a general class of nonlinear dissipative bulk-interface systems. They correspond to thermodynamically consistent gradient structure models of bulk-interface interaction.

Global Stability of Approximation for Exponential Attractors

open access: yesFunkcialaj Ekvacioj, 2004
This paper is concerned with the initial value problem for some diffusion system which describes the process of a pattern formation of biological individuals by chemotaixis and growth. In the paper Osaki et al. [13], exponential attractors have been constructed for the dynamical system determined by this problem.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
