66‐1: High Resolution Quantum Dot Global Shutter Imagers

SID Symposium Digest of Technical Papers, 2021
Quantum dot photodetectors are a promising platform technology that ST Microelectronics has developed, scaled‐up, and is ready to commercialize. Our quantum dot‐based global shutter imagers are responsive from UV to SWIR wavelengths at high resolution, high efficiency, and low dark currents, with good reliability and very competitive cost.

A CMOS Charge-Domain Global Shutter Pixel Characterization System

2021 International Symposium on Signals, Circuits and Systems (ISSCS), 2021
This paper presents a photosensitive active pixel readout test chip, targeted for use in the electro-optical characterization of various charge-domain global shutter test pixels. The proposed system employs a scalable 256x256 resolution pixel array and a column-parallel analog signal processing chain.

Performance of rolling shutter and global shutter camera in optical camera communications

2015 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC), 2015
Optical Camera Communication (OCC) is considered as an extension of IEEE 802.15.7 specification by same communication channel. Different with another technique, Optical Camera Communication used image sensor for receiver, so the characteristic of image sensor will effect on the operation and performance.

Rolling Shutter Effect Compensation with Global Waves Analysis

2015 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia Big Data, 2015
CMOS camera expose different portions of the frame at different points in time, resulting in the so-called rolling shutter effect that bright and dark region of striation moving in the movie vertically. In this paper, we propose an image processing technique using global wave analysis and develop a general compensation algorithm to handle this problem.
