Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Global error estimation in the numerical solution of retarded differential equations by Euler's method [PDF]
summary:In this paper Zadunaisky's technique is used to estimate the global error propagated in the numerical solution of the system of retarded differential equations by Euler's method.

A Fujita-type theorem for a multitime evolutionary p-Laplace inequality in the Heisenberg group
A nonexistence result of global nontrivial positive weak solutions to a multitime evolutionary p-Laplace differential inequality in the Heisenberg group is obtained. Our technique of proof is based on the test function method.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Macromolecular conformation of chitosan in dilute solution: A new global hydrodynamic approach [PDF]
Chitosans of different molar masses were prepared by storing freshly prepared samples for up to 6 months at either 4, 25 or 40 °C. The weight-average molar masses, Mw and intrinsic viscosities, [η] were then measured using size exclusion chromatography

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

The Conversion and Sustainable Use of Alumina Refinery Residues: Global Solution Examples
This chapter introduces current industry best practice for the conversion of alumina refinery residues (or “red mud”) from hazardous waste to benign, inert material. The paper will examine four neutralization methods and Basecon Technology, a sustainable

Global and regional emissions estimates for N2O [PDF]
We present a comprehensive estimate of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions using observations and models from 1995 to 2008. High-frequency records of tropospheric N2O are available from measurements at Cape Grim, Tasmania; Cape Matatula, American Samoa; Ragged

Nonexistence of global solutions for differential inequalities of Sobolev type
In this article we study three differential inequalities of Sobolev type. Using Pokhozhaev's nonlinear capacity method, we provide sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of global nontrivial weak solutions to these problems.
