Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Adaptive Neural Globally Asymptotic Tracking Control for a Class of Uncertain Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper investigates the adaptive neural tracking control problem for strict-feedback nonlinear systems. Superior to the existing results that only semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded stability can be achieved, each virtual and actual ...

The Basel Process and Financial Stability [PDF]

open access: yes
The Basel Process is a key element of the global financial system and as such plays an important role in co-ordinating the multilateral efforts of various committees, uniquely geared towards fostering and maintaining financial stability.Basel Process ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

On the Almost Global Stability of Invariant Sets

open access: yes2018 European Control Conference (ECC), 2018
For a given invariant set of a dynamical system, it is known that the existence of a Lyapunov-type density function, called Lyapunov density or Rantzer's density function, may imply the convergence of almost all solutions to the invariant set, in other words, the almost global stability (also called almost everywhere stability) of the invariant set ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Stability analysis of an eco-epidemiological model incorporating a prey refuge

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2010
The present paper deals with the problem of a predator-prey model incorporating a prey refuge with disease in the prey-population. We assume the predator population will prefer only infected population for their diet as those are more vulnerable ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Density Dependent Predator Death Prevalence Chaos in a Tri-trophic Food Chain Model

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2008
Ecological systems have all the properties to produce chaotic dynamics. To predict the chaotic behavior in an ecological system and its possible control mechanism is interesting.
