Global stability for a tuberculosis model

open access: yesMathematical and Computer Modelling, 2011
A deterministic model is developed to describe the effects of vaccination and treatment on the spread of tuberculosis. It is shown that the basic reproduction number characterizes the disease transmission dynamics: if R"[email protected]?1, there exists only the disease-free equilibrium which is globally asymptotically stable, and if R"0>1 then there ...

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

Reply to "Comment on 'Gravitating Magnetic Monopole in the Global Monopole Spacetime' "

open access: yes, 2003
In this Reply I present some arguments in favor of the stability of the topological defect composed by global and magnetic monopoles.Comment: 1 page, no figures.

Global stability of May cooperative system with feedback controls

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, a May cooperative system with feedback controls is proposed and studied. The dynamic behaviors of the system are discussed by using the Lyapunov function method.

CYBER GLOBALIZATION AS AN IN/STABILITY FACTOR

open access: yesIJASOS- International E-journal of Advances in Social Sciences, 2019
While the world is becoming increasingly interdependent, the countries are evermore dependent on information systems, high-speed communications and artificial intelligence. That is increasing the risks and threats to citizens' privacy, global trade, the resilient of critical infrastructure and even the readiness of the armed forces.

MET and NF2 alterations confer primary and early resistance to first‐line alectinib treatment in ALK‐positive non‐small‐cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.

Global imbalances and financial stability [PDF]

open access: yes
Much of the policy debate in coming years will hinge on two questions: have global imbalances contributed to the financial crisis? Is a reduction in global imbalances a prerequisite to ensuring global financial stability?

Tonic signaling of the B‐cell antigen‐specific receptor is a common functional hallmark in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cell phosphoproteomes at early disease stages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Stability analysis for coupled systems with time-varying coupling structure

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
The stability of coupled systems with time-varying coupling structure (CSTCS) is considered in this paper. The graph-theoretic method on a digraph with constant weight has been successfully generalized into a digraph with time-varying weight. In addition,

Global Stability and Plus-Global Stability. An Application to Forward Neural Networks

open access: yes, 2010
A necessary and sufficient condition for a discrete dynamical system to be globally stable and plus-globally stable are first established in Section 2. The V-condition is introduced and Theorems 3.5 and 3.7 are presented in Section 3. The two theorems link the V-condition to the most relevant properties of globally stable and plus-globally stable ...
