We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

We employed the fast-folding algorithm on L -band globular cluster (GC) observations taken with the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope to search for new pulsars, especially those with a long rotational period.

The inner Galactic globular clusters
Galactic globular clusters located towards the inner regions of the Milky Way have been historically neglected, mainly due to the difficulties caused by the presence of an elevated extinction by foreground dust, and high field star densities along the ...

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Ancient Relic Moderately Metal-rich Bulge Cluster Tonantzintla 2
The assembly history of the Galactic bulge is intimately tied to the formation of the proto–Milky Way, yet reconstructing this early phase is difficult because mergers and secular evolution have erased most of its original structure.

RR Lyrae Stars in Globular Clusters [PDF]
AbstractOf the several types of variable stars that occur in globular clusters, RR Lyrae stars have deservedly received the most attention. These stars are ideally suited for comparisons between evolution and pulsation theory, they play a prominent role in distance determinations, and are valuable tracers of the oldest stellar populations.

Redox regulation meets metabolism: targeting PRDX2 to prevent hepatocellular carcinoma
PRDX2 acts as a central redox hub linking metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH) to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In normal hepatocytes, PRDX2 maintains redox balance and metabolic homeostasis under oxidative stress. In contrast, during malignant transformation, PRDX2 promotes oncogenic signaling, stemness, and tumor initiation ...

Variable stars in the VVV globular clusters
Context. High reddening near the Galactic plane hampers observations and proper characterization of the globular clusters (GCs) located toward the inner regions of the Milky Way. Aims. The VISTA Variables in the Vía Láctea (VVV) survey observed the Galactic bulge and adjacent disk for several years, providing multi-epoch, near-infrared images for 41 ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.
