Cell Adhesion by Design: Engineering Tissue Culture Scaffolds With Adhesion Cues
ABSTRACT In scaffold‐based tissue engineering, the matrix should provide adequate adhesion cues for cell attachment, spreading, and function. Given the multitude of adhesion receptors and the diversity of scaffolds, there are many approaches to render scaffolds adhesive, even though they are not all equivalent.

Time‐resolved SAXS reveals how physiologically relevant metal ions shape the earliest conformational responses of monomeric α‐synuclein. Fe3+ induces rapid compaction, Cu2+ generates heterogeneous and partially folded ensembles, while Mn2+ and Zn2+ cause only modest changes.

Mean Field and the Single Homopolymer
We develop a statistical model for a confined chain molecule based on a monomer grand canonical ensemble. The molecule is subject to an external chemical potential, a backbone interaction, and an attractive interaction between all monomers.

De Novo Multi‐Mechanism Antimicrobial Peptide Design via Multimodal Deep Learning
Current AI‐driven peptide discovery often overlooks complex structural data. This study presents M3‐CAD, a generative pipeline that leverages 3D voxel coloring and a massive database of over 12 000 peptides to capture nuanced physicochemical contexts.

Reactivity‐Programmed Assembly: A kinetic‐control strategy is reported for constructing hyperconnected silicone aerogels with a robust “thick‐neck” architecture. By exploiting the reactivity disparity of precursors, flexible segments are uniformly embedded within a rigid skeleton.

The mammalian TGFβ interacts with ubiquitously expressed TGFBR1 and TGFBR2, and current TGFβ‐targeting agents are non‐cell‐selective. The cooperative interaction of the modular parasite TGFβ antagonist with multiple host (co‐)receptors empowers the design of TGM chimeras and bispecific antibodies that activate or inhibit TGFβ signaling in a cell ...

The authors study ``globular lattices'', that is, those full sublattices of Euclidean space for which the set of primes coincides with the set of co-primes. They show that lattice spheres are globular lattices and that globular lattices are spindles. For dimensions two and three the only globular lattices are the lattice spheres but for dimension four ...

FoldIndex©: a simple tool to predict whether a given protein sequence is intrinsically unfolded [PDF]
Summary: An easy-to-use, versatile and freely available graphic web server, FoldIndex© is described: it predicts if a given protein sequence is intrinsically unfolded implementing the algorithm of Uversky and co-workers, which is based on the average ...
