Effect of OATP-binding on the prediction of biliary excretion [PDF]
1.Biliary excretion of compounds is dependant on several transporter proteins for the active uptake of compounds from the blood into the hepatocytes. Organic anion-transporting polypeptides (OATPs) are some of the most abundant transporter proteins in ...

Here, we present a novel 3D cell patterning and culture platform. The “Floor‐Ceiling‐Chip” (FC‐Chip) consists of two opposing track‐etched membranes, creating a pseudo‐3D microenvironment for the cells in between. By providing the membranes with micropatterned cell‐adhesive islands of varying geometries and sizes, the FC‐Chip enables control over cell ...

This review examines how in vitro electrical and mechanical stimulation modulates wound healing in fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Analyzing over 560 experimental data points, we relate stimulation parameters to proliferation and migration outcomes, evaluate platform designs, and highlight the need for multi‐parameter optimization to advance targeted ...

The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

This work reports a direct, biocompatible method to synthesize UiO‐66, enabling one‐step encapsulation of proteins without compromising crystallinity or activity. Using advanced in situ and ex situ techniques, the study reveals that proteins integrate concurrently with MOF growth, forming crystalline protein@UiO‐66 nanoparticles, and provide insight ...

A note on the Penon definition of $n$-category
We show that doubly degenerate Penon tricategories give symmetric rather than braided monoidal categories. We prove that Penon tricategories cannot give all tricategories, but we show that a slightly modified version of the definition rectifies the ...

Controlling the protein corona formation onto carbon nanomaterials (CNMs) enhances their functionalities as platforms for cancer theranostics. Here, we reviewed the effects of the intrinsic and acquired properties of CNMs on protein corona formation, the consequent biological and toxicological outcomes, and the strategies to reshape corona formation ...
