A NEW α-GLUCANASE: MYCODEXTRANASE

Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1964
Mycodextranase is an α-glucanase which splits only the α-1,4 linkages in a substrate having alternating α-1,3 and α-1,4 links. It ïs a fungal enzyme of rather infrequent occurrence, adaptive in nature, and in its properties strongly resembling other fungal glucanases. The products of its action on mycodextran are a tetramer and nigerose. The hypothesis

[1,3-beta-Glucanases of actinomycetes].

Mikrobiologiia, 1984
Different actinomyces species (25 strains) were studied and Actinomyces cellulosae 41 was found to be the most active one in its capacity to cause lysis of Saccharomyces cerevisiae intact cells as well as in the production of 1,3-beta-glucanase. The enzyme preparation containing 1,3-beta-glucanase can be obtained from the filtrate of the actinomycete ...

Exo-beta-glucanases in yeast.

The Biochemical journal, 1968
1. A number of yeast species were examined for the presence of beta-glucanases. Extracts obtained by cell disruption of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Fabospora fragilis and Hansenula anomala hydrolysed laminarin and pustulan with the production of glucose. Enzymic activities were also detected in the culture fluids of F. fragilis and H.
