Cells have metabolic flexibility that allows them to adapt to changes in substrate availability. Two highly relevant metabolites are glucose and fatty acids (FA), and hence, glycolysis and fatty acid oxidation (FAO) are key metabolic pathways leading to ...

DEHYDROGENASES IN DEVELOPING TEETH OF RATS
Odontogenesis was studied in unfixed cryostatcut sections of 5-day old rats with histochemical methods for the demonstration of succinic, malic, isocitric, glutamic, lactic, β-hydroxybutyrate, α-glycerophosphate, glucose-6-phosphate and 6 ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Quantifying NAD(P)H production in the upper Entner–Doudoroff pathway from Pseudomonas putida KT2440
Despite the lack of biochemical information, all available in silico metabolic models of Pseudomonas putida KT2440 consider NADP as the only cofactor accepted by the glucose‐6‐phosphate dehydrogenases.

Studies on the Biochemistry of Disinfection by Monochloramine [PDF]
The chemical characteristics of monochloramine and some of its effects on Escherichia coli were studied. Under certain conditions monochloramine-treated cells recovered in the presence of excess thiols or thiosulfate.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
