Glucose oxidase of Phanerochaete chrysosporium
1988Publisher Summary Glucose oxidase catalyzes the oxidation of D-glucose to δ-D-gluconolactone and H 2 O 2 in the presence of molecular oxygen. In a subsequent step δ -D-gluconolactone is nonenzymatically hydrolyzed to D-gluconic acid. This enzyme has been demonstrated in various Aspergillus and Penicillium species and has recently been purified ...

Glucose oxidase?magnetite nanoparticle bioconjugate for glucose sensing
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2004Immobilization of bioactive molecules on the surface of magnetic nanoparticles is of great interest, because the magnetic properties of these bioconjugates promise to greatly improve the delivery and recovery of biomolecules in biomedical applications.

Glucose Biosensor Using Glucose Oxidase Immobilized in Polyaniline
Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 1992A biosensor for glucose utilizing kinetics of glucose oxidase (EC 1.1.3.4.) was developed. The enzyme was immobilized on polyaniline by covalent bonding, using glutaraldehyde as a bifunctional agent. The system showed a linear response up to 2.2 mM of glucose with a response time of 2.5-4.0 min. In addition, the immobilized enzyme had a higher activity

Glucose Oxidase Multilayer Modified Microcantilevers for Glucose Measurement
Analytical Chemistry, 2005We report a novel enzyme-based microcantilever sensor by using layer-by-layer nanoassembly modification. A glucose oxidase (GOx) functionalized microcantilever underwent bending when it was exposed to glucose solutions. The magnitudes of bending were proportional to the concentrations of glucose.

Glucose oxidase immobilized polyethylene‐g‐acrylic acid membrane for glucose oxidase sensor
Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 1990AbstractA polyethylene‐g‐acrylic acid (PE‐g‐AA) graft copolymer was prepared via gamma‐ray‐irradiation‐induced postirradiation procedures, and was used as support material for the immobilization of glucose oxidase. Soluble carbodiimides were used as the coupling agent. Reasonable yields were obtained with CMC but not with EDAC, EEDQ, or WRK.

Glucose sensor with immobilized glucose oxidase-glucose isomerase membrane
Journal of Molecular Catalysis, 1981Abstract A glucose sensor, i.e., an oxygen detection electrode with immobilized glucose oxidase, has been studied by several researchers as a novel analytical technique which can simplify tedious steps in conventional methods of glucose determination. In a glucose sensor of such construction, any glocuse oxidase inhibition will impair the performance

Glucose concentration measurement using immobilized glucose oxidase
Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1989Abstract A reactor with an immobilized glucose oxidase layer on a magnetic disc impeller for routine determination of the glucose concentration in biological samples was designed and studied both experimentally and theoretically. The rate of oxygen concentration decrease in the reacting mixture (consisting of ca.

Interference in glucose oxidase-peroxidase blood glucose methods
Clinica Chimica Acta, 1972Abstract Interference by certain compounds with the glucose oxidase-peroxidase system used in blood glucose estimations appears to be a function of the oxygen affinity of the oxygen acceptor chromogen or the oxidative coupling system. It has been shown 1 that tolazamide interferes seriously with the Boehringer GOD-PERID blood glucose method.

Glucose oxidase immobilized electrode for potentiometric estimation of glucose
Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 1991Glucose oxidase has been immobilized onto a thin platinum strip, by co-crosslinking with bovine serum albumin and glutaraldehyde. The retention of redox characteristics of glucose oxidase has been verified by cyclic voltammetry. The activity of the immobilized enzyme reduces to a quarter of its value when the enzyme is in solution but improves when ...
