Assessment of Fasting Blood Suger and Glucose Tolerance Test in Patients with Lichen Planus
An association between lichen planus and diabetes mellitus has been speculated for many years. In order to assess this potential problem, fasting plasma glucose levels and glucose tolerance test were studied in 50 patients with lichen planus and in 50 ...

Deletion of Gpr27 in vivo reduces insulin mRNA but does not result in diabetes. [PDF]
Gpr27 is a highly conserved, orphan G protein coupled receptor (GPCR) previously implicated in pancreatic beta cell insulin transcription and glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in vitro. Here, we characterize a whole-body mouse knockout of Gpr27. Gpr27

Ionizable lipid nanoparticles target multiple pathological pathways in neurodegeneration. The designed self‐assembled materials undergo a pH‐triggered structural transformation from a cubosome/hexosome coexistence to a hexosome phase, enhancing intracellular delivery of a multi‐target phytochemical formulation. The antioxidant‐loaded pH‐responsive LNPs

Human periosteum‐derived cell spheroids bioprinted at high density within a hyaluronic acid matrix promote fusion and hypertrophic cartilage formation in vitro. Early encapsulation enhances spheroid interaction and matrix maturation, generating scalable cartilage templates intended for endochondral bone regeneration.

This study developed a bioprinted co‐culture system embedding rat pancreatic islets and Scenedesmus sp. microalgae spatially defined in close vicinity. Red light was found optimal to ensure microalgal photosynthesis while maintaining islet viability and functionality. A tailored co‐culture medium supported both cell types.

3D Soft Hydrogels Induce Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells “Deep” Quiescence
Three‐dimensional soft hydrogels mimicking the bone marrow niche induce deep quiescence in human mesenchymal stem cells. Unlike 2D culture, 3D matrices halt proliferation, regulate cell‐cycle and quiescence markers, and downregulate mTORC1 signaling, preserving stem cell phenotype and therapeutic potential ex vivo.

Study of glucose homeostasis in burnout cases using an oral glucose tolerance test
Burnout is caused by long term psychosocial stress and has, besides the fatigue and mental health burden, been associated with increased risk of adverse physical health, such as for example type 2 diabetes.
