Optimizing Haskap Berry (Lonicera caerulea) Storage Conditions and Monitoring Antioxidant Systems
Haskap is an emerging crop with a short shelf life, and optimal storage practices remain undefined. This study shows that storage at 0°C best preserves haskap quality by reducing weight loss and enhancing antioxidant systems, including elevated phenols, flavonoids, anthocyanins, and antioxidant enzyme activity compared to 4°C and 8°C.

Studies on Monoterpene Glucosides. XII. Biosynthesis of Gentianaceous Secoiridoid Glucosides
DL-Mevalonolactone-2-14C was administrated to Gentiana triflora and Swertia japonica. Degradation of labelled gentiopicroside (I) from Gentiana triflora and swertiamarin (II) and sweroside (III) from Swertia japonica established that these compounds are monoterpenoid glucosides synthesized biologically via mevalonic acid.

ABSTRACT In this study, we present Methylobacterium aquaticum A1, a novel strain capable of degrading polyester polyurethane (PE‐PUR). The attachment of M. aquaticum A1 to PE‐PUR and its degradation capabilities were verified using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Fourier‐Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT‐IR).
