D-Glucuronic Acid Coated Gd(IO3)3·2H2O Nanomaterial as a Potential T1 MRI-CT Dual Contrast Agent

, 2013
To date, only a few nanosystems have been investigated as T1 MRI-CT dual contrast agents. The T1 MRI-CT dual functionality of a material depends on its longitudinal water-proton relaxivity (r1) and X-ray absorption strength.

Glucuronic Acid Metabolism in Guinea Pigs

Acta Physiologica Scandinavica, 1954
Summary. This report points out the more extensive biochemical significance to the elucidation of the production and mechanism of action of l‐ascorbic acid which may be derived from a detailed study of the glucuronic acid metabolism of the guinea pig.To supplement the deficient information in the literature on the glucuconic acid metabolism of the ...

The Chemical Synthesis of D-Glucuronic Acid

1953
Publisher Summary The methods for preparing D-glucuronic acid is devised through the oxidation of derivatives of D -glucose by halogens, hydrogen peroxide, and potassium permanganate. In some of these reactions, only the aldehyde function of D-glucose is protected from oxidation, and in others the secondary hydroxyl groups also are blocked.
