SQSTM1/p62 Orchestrates Skin Aging via USP7 Degradation
p62 exhibits diminished expression in aging skin and senescent cells. p62 serves to inhibit the accumulation of USP7 during senescence induction. The Tyr‐67 residue within the PB1 domain or Gln‐418 within the UBA domain of p62 forms a hydrogen bond with Ala‐993 of the Ubl5 domain of USP7.

Abstract DNA methylation controls DNA accessibility to transcription factors and other regulatory proteins, thereby affecting gene expression and hence cellular identity and function. As epigenetic modifications control the transcriptome, epigenetic dysfunction is strongly associated with pathological conditions and ageing.

This study evaluated the potential of sulfur metabolites as biomarkers for esophageal cancer using blood and exhaled breath condensate (EBC) samples. Absolute quantification analysis revealed elevated levels of cysteine hydropersulfide (CysSSH) and homocysteine hydropersulfide (HomoCysSSH) in patients with esophageal cancer, with HomoCysSSH in plasma ...
