Camouflaged Nanozymes with Oxidation‐Promoting Activities Triggering Ferroptosis for Radio‐Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops a cancer cell membrane‐coated nanozyme that enhances radiotherapy and reshapes the immunosuppressive microenvironment by generating oxygen in situ and disrupting tumor antioxidant defenses, offering a new strategy for breast cancer radioimmunotherapy.

Antioxidants selenomethionine and D-pantethine differentially affect doxorubicin’s action on glutathione system in human leukemia cells varying in their resistance to chemotherapy in vitro

open access: yesБіологічні студії, 2018
Rapid development of multiple drug resistance and occurrence of negative side effects in cancer patients arising at the treatment belong to the main problems in cancer chemotherapy.

Ethylene‐Activated E3 Ubiquitin Ligase MdEAEL1 Promotes Apple Fruit Softening by Facilitating the Dissociation of Transcriptional Repressor Complexes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ethylene‐activated MdEAEL1 mediates the disassembly of the MdZFP3‐MdTPL4‐MdHDA19 transcriptional repression complex, upregulating the histone acetylation levels in the promoter regions of cell wall degradation‐related genes, consequently promoting softening during storage.

Selenium status and supplementation in dromedary camels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The Arabian camel (Camelus dromedarius) is well suited to the desert environment due to its remarkable physiological and metabolic adaptation. Nutrients requirements of the camel are not well defined, particularly that of trace elements.

PRMT1‐Mediated SWI/SNF Complex Recruitment via SMARCC1 Drives IGF2BP2 Transcription to Enhance Carboplatin Resistance in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PRMT1 drives carboplatin resistance and tumor progression in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) through a novel, methyltransferase‐independent mechanism. It recruits the SWI/SNF complex to activate IGF2BP2, promoting tumor growth and carboplatin resistance. PBX2 upregulates PRMT1, reinforcing this pathway. This study uncovers a non‐catalytic

Unveiling Salt Tolerance Mechanisms in Plants: Integrating the KANMB Machine Learning Model With Metabolomic and Transcriptomic Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Salt stress endangers coastal cereal crops, requiring resilient crop solutions. This study employs machine learning (KANMB) to analyze multi‐omics data from halophyte Spartina alterniflora, revealing 226 salt‐stress biomarkers and linking them to tolerance pathways. The MYB gene SaMYB35 regulates flavonoid biosynthesis under salinity.

Predictive biomarkers for 5‐ALA‐PDT can lead to personalized treatments and overcome tumor‐specific resistances

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 5, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Background Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a minimally invasive, clinically approved therapy with numerous advantages over other mainstream cancer therapies. 5‐aminolevulinic acid (5‐ALA)‐PDT is of particular interest, as it uses the photosensitiser PpIX, naturally produced in the heme pathway, following 5‐ALA administration.
