The study elucidates that paternal preconception stress can drive offspring hyperresponsivity of the stress system via hypomethylation of a specific DNA region in sperm. This key link is confirmed in a cohort of prospective fathers: the epigenetic alteration is associated with elevated stress hormone levels.

Increased liver content of DHA‐derived small lipid autacoids (i.e resolvin D1 and maresin 1) associates with enhanced mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, fatty acid β‐oxidation and bioenergetic metabolic flux. These features provide hepatic protection from steatotic, pro‐inflammatory and fibrogenic insults.

Selective Oxidation of Glycerol to Glyceraldehyde over Novel Monometallic Platinum Catalysts
Several novel monometallic platinum catalysts supported on metal oxides (Al2O3, Y2O3, γ-Al2O3, Lu2O3, ZrO2-Y2O3 TiO2, SiO2, γ-AlO(OH)) and activated carbon (C) were synthesized by extractive-pyrolytic method and tested in glycerol oxidation processes ...

Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is an evolutionarily conserved essential enzyme in the glycolytic pathway. GAPDH is also involved in a wide spectrum of non-catalytic cellular 'moonlighting' functions.

Engineering Oncolytic Virus‐Armed Macrophages for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy
ZIFOA‐M is engineered by conjugating oncolytic adenovirus‐loaded ZIF‐8 nanoparticles onto macrophage surfaces via bioorthogonal chemistry. Upon tumor infiltration, the platform releases OA to downregulate CD47/CD24 on tumor cells, restoring macrophage phagocytosis.

Adeno‐associated virus serotype 2 capsid variants for improved liver‐directed gene therapy
Abstract Background and Aims Current liver‐directed gene therapies look for adeno‐associated virus (AAV) vectors with improved efficacy. With this background, capsid engineering is explored. Whereas shuffled capsid library screenings have resulted in potent liver targeting variants with one first vector in human clinical trials, modifying natural ...

The metabolism of
1. The metabolism of d-glyceraldehyde by the lens was examined. 2. When low concentrations of d-[U−14C]glyceraldehyde were incubated with lens extracts there was no incorporation of the label into protein; more than two-thirds of the labelled metabolites consisted of glyceric acid and glycerol, their relative proportions depending on the species ...

Optical activity of D-glyceraldehyde in aqueous solutions
In dilute aqueous solutions, D-glyceraldehyde exists both in the free and hydrated monomeric forms; the equilibrium between them depends on the temperature. The specific rotation of the equilibrium mixture was measured polarimetrically in the temperature
