A Coding SNP in GmPM30 Enhances Soybean Salinity Tolerance and Yield through the GmLEA1‐GmPM30‐GmLEC1 Module

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A natural variation in soybean PM30, GmPM30‐HapT, confers greater salt tolerance than GmPM30‐HapC via stronger GmLEA1‐GmPM30‐GmLEC1 interactions. Pyramiding their elite haplotypes yields additive gains in salt tolerance and yield, establishing a novel workflow linking evolutionary genomics, molecular mechanisms, and breeding applications via the module

Molecular Analysis of Lipoxygenases Associated with Nodule Development in Soybean

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2008
We utilized transcriptional profiling to identify genes associated with nodule development in soybean. Many of the candidate genes were predicted to be involved in processes such as defense, metabolism, transcriptional regulation, oxidation, or iron ...

RING‐Between‐RING‐Type E3 Ligase Ariadne‐Like Protein 8 Negatively Regulates Plant Virus Infection by Targeting a Viral Movement Protein

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The plant RING‐between‐RING (RBR)‐type E3 ligase, Ariadne‐like protein 8 (ARI8), ubiquitinates and degrades a viral movement protein, restricting virus spread. ARI8 also inhibits other triple gene block 1 (TGB1)‐containing viruses, revealing a broad‐spectrum antiviral role.

Genome-wide association study for flowering time, maturity dates and plant height in early maturing soybean (Glycine max) germplasm

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2015
BackgroundSoybean (Glycine max) is a photoperiod-sensitive and self-pollinated species. Days to flowering (DTF) and maturity (DTM), duration of flowering-to-maturity (DFTM) and plant height (PH) are crucial for soybean adaptability and yield.

Alkaline–Acid Intestine Environment Controlled by A Carbonic Anhydrase Gene Influences Synthesis of Sex Pheromone by Symbionts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A model proposing that elevated rectal expression of CAh1 in males alkalinizes the environment to regulate Bacillus production of a male‐specific sex pheromone. Abstract The intricate interplay between animals and their intestinal microbes is pivotal in shaping various aspects of animal biology.

Direct growth of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes on silicon substrate by spray pyrolysis of Glycine max oil

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia, 2017
Vertically aligned carbon nanotubes have been synthesized by spray pyrolysis from Glycine max oil on silicon substrate using ferrocene as catalyst at 650 °C. Glycine max oil, a plant-based hydrocarbon precursor was used as a source of carbon and argon as

Catastrophic Degradation in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Caused by Air Supply Interruption in Real‐World Operations: Fundamental Mechanisms and Mitigation Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Interrupting the air supply during the operation of solid oxide fuel cells leads to irreversible chemical degradation of the cathode materials, primarily driven by strontium at the A‐site of perovskite structures. Alternative strontium‐free materials effectively address this issue, ensuring high performance and reliable operation during operational ...
