Modulation of antioxidant enzymes by salicylic acid in arsenic exposed Glycine max L.

open access: yes, 2016
To investigate the physiological and metabolic attributes of arsenic (As) stress tolerance conferred by exogenous salicylic acid (SA), Glycine max L. (variety JS 335) seeds were aseptically germinated over filter paper moistened with SA (500 µM) and/or10

Postanoxic Injury in Soybean (Glycine max) Seedlings [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1991
The postanoxic injury, also known as reperfusion injury, is associated with the returning of anoxic tissues to normal atmosphere. Using tetrazolium chloride staining, ATP content, and seedling growth rate as indicators, we found that postanoxic injuries in soybean (Glycine max) seedlings were more severe after 1 and 2 hours of anoxia than after longer ...

Transcriptome‐Wide Association Uncovers LncRNAs Controlling Seed Weight in Soybean

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs transcriptome‐wide association studies (TWAS) to identify 201 long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) associated with seed weight. Expression quantitative trait locus (eQTL) analysis reveals dynamic and static regulatory variants controlling lncRNA expression across development.
