Identification of bioactive compounds and molecular targets of Fuke Huahuang formulation to treat vaginitis

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Fuke Huahuang formulation (FHF) is used to treat vaginitis, and it exerts a promising anti‐inflammatory effect in clinical use. However, the detailed components and mechanisms of FHF for treating vaginitis remain unreported, and further preclinical evaluation is required to reveal its potential pharmacological activities against vaginitis.

New Transferrin Receptor‐Targeting Conjugate Effectively Delivers DNA to Mouse Brain

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We present a novel RNA aptamer targeting the transferrin receptor (TfR), conjugated with DSPE lipid, which achieves remarkably efficient brain uptake, reaching brain‐to‐serum ratios as high as 6.5. Through fluorescence imaging and polymerase‐chain reaction analyses, we verify that this new conjugate successfully delivers a substantial amount of DNA ...

Transplanting neural stem cells overexpressing miRNA‐21 can promote neural recovery after cerebral hemorrhage through the SOX2/LIN28‐let‐7 signaling pathway

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) remains a devastating neurological disorder with limited therapeutic options. Neural stem cell (NSC)‐based therapies have emerged as a potential regenerative approach, yet the molecular mechanisms regulating NSC behavior require further elucidation.

Subventricular Zone Microstructure in Pediatric‐Onset Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective The aim of this study was to explore the microstructural dynamics of the subventricular zone (SVZ) with aging and their associations with clinical disability and brain structural damage in pediatric‐onset multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. Methods One‐hundred and forty‐one pediatric‐onset MS patients (67 pediatric and 74 adults with pediatric ...

Accelerated Cellular Senescence in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis: A Histopathological Study

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective The neurodegenerative processes driving the build‐up of disability in progressive multiple sclerosis (P‐MS) have not been fully elucidated. Recent data link cellular senescence (CS) to neurodegeneration. We investigated for evidence of CS in P‐MS and sought to determine its pattern.
