Separation and identification of carp pituitary proteins and glycoproteins
Carp pituitary proteins and glycoproteins were separated by the combination of immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) and affinity chromatography on Con A-Sepharose. The protein fractions were analysed by SDS-PAGE.

Objective Cognitive impairment (CI) is common in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Despite its prevalence, the immune mechanisms are not well understood. We previously reported elevated serum levels of S100A8/A9 and matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP‐9) in patients with SLE and CI.

The Initiation and Early Stages of Postmolt Mineralization in the Blue Crab, Callinectes sapidus
Crabs are encased in a rigid exoskeleton or cuticle that is hardened by both protein crosslinking and calcification. In order to grow, the exoskeleton must be periodically molted.

The glomerular filtration barrier (GFB) is the first step of blood filtration by the kidneys. The concerning increase of kidney diseases makes the development of new models essential. In this context, microphysiological glomerular filtration barriers focus on closely reproducing the physiological architecture of the in vivo GFB: podocytes, glomerular ...

Function and 3D Structure of the N-Glycans on Glycoproteins
Glycosylation is one of the most common post-translational modifications in eukaryotic cells and plays important roles in many biological processes, such as the immune response and protein quality control systems.
