Mutations in CLN5 cause a subtype of neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis (NCL) called CLN5 disease. While the precise role of CLN5 in NCL pathogenesis is not known, recent work revealed that the protein has glycoside hydrolase activity.

We present a chromosome‐level genome assembly of Siraitia grosvenorii and, through comparative genomics, uncover a conserved UGT73 tandem array driving triterpenoid saponin diversification in Cucurbitaceae. Crystalized SgUGT73AM30 further reveals the regioselectivity mechanism underlying its catalytic activity.

This study firstly isolated a tuna‐derived gut probiotic Acinetobacter seifertii YFT067. Dietary administration of YFT067 played significant roles in promoting growth performance, SCFAs production, lipid absorption, and metabolism of the host, indicating YFT067 as a promising probiotic candidate for enhancing tuna aquaculture productivity through ...

A Metagenome‐Assembled Genome Catalog From the Global Ruminant Microbiomes
The Ruminant Gastrointestinal MAG Catalog (RGMC) is a comprehensive global resource offering 40,812 strain‐level genomes across 53 bacterial and 4 archaeal classes. It greatly surpasses prior efforts in scale and diversity, serving as an essential foundation for research in ruminant nutrition, microbial function, and methane mitigation.

Glycoside Hydrolases for Extraction and Modification of Polyphenolic Antioxidants [PDF]
Antioxidants are important molecules that are widely used by humans, both as dietary supplements and as additives to different types of products. In this chapter, we review how flavonoids, a class of polyphenolic antioxidants that are often found in glycosylated forms in many natural resources, can be extracted and modified using glycoside hydrolases ...

A series of structurally diverse exoglycals was synthesized using a modified Julia‐olefination approach from sugar‐derived precursors. These glycosidase transition‐state mimics were further diversified via CuAAC chemistry to yield triazole‐conjugated analogues.
