Harnessing Natural Compounds in Psoriasis: Targeting Cellular Pathways for Effective Therapy
Natural compounds act on key cellular pathways in psoriasis by suppressing keratinocyte hyperproliferation, modulating Th17/IL‐17‐mediated immune responses, and reducing oxidative stress. These multi‐target effects highlight their potential as safer adjunctive therapies alongside conventional treatments.

Inhibition of human complement by β‐glycyrrhetinic acid [PDF]
Licorice, the root extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra L., is used as a medicine for various diseases. Anti‐inflammatory as well as anti‐allergic activities have been attributed to one of its main constituents, glycyrrhizin. These activities are mainly ascribed to the action of the aglycone, β‐glycyrrhetinic acid.

Novel licorice‐derived compound YCY‐20 attenuates cerebral ischemia–reperfusion injury by suppressing neuronal apoptosis. Mechanistic studies reveal its neuroprotection is mediated through inhibition of the AGE‐RAGE/MAPK pathway, providing a preclinical foundation for stroke therapeutics development.
