Amyloid‐Templated Ceria Nanozyme Reinforced Microneedle for Diabetic Wound Treatments

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 15, April 16, 2025.
This work demonstrates an effective strategy for synthesizing high‐catalytic and stable nanozymes, and introduces the first example of amyloid‐ceria nanozymes reinforced microneedle which features a complex, synergistic catalytic behavior combining superoxide dismutase and catalase‐like activities, promoting to remodel the infection microenvironment in

Glycyrrhizic acid derivatives as influenza A/H1N1 virus inhibitors

open access: yesBioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2015
This Letter describes the synthesis and antiviral activity study of some glycyrrhizic acid (GL) derivatives against influenza A/H1N1/pdm09 virus in MDCK cells. Conjugation of GL with l-amino acids or their methyl esters, and amino sugar (d-galactose amine) dramatically changed its activity.

Traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases: A review of inhibitors for NLRP3 inflammasome

open access: yesAdvanced Chinese Medicine, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 1-12, March 2025.
Abstract The NLR family pyrin domain‐containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome is a vital part of the innate immune response, whilst its aberrant activation drives the progression of several noncommunicable diseases. It induces caspase‐1 activation and the downstream substrates involved with the processing and secretion of the pro‐inflammatory cytokines IL‐1β ...

Glycyrrhizic Acid Can Attenuate Metabolic Deviations Caused by a High-Sucrose Diet without Causing Water Retention in Male Sprague-Dawley Rats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Glycyrrhizic acid (GA) ameliorates many components of the metabolic syndrome, but its potential therapeutic use is marred by edema caused by inhibition of renal 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 2 (11β-HSD2).

Removal of chromium (III) by two-aqueous phases extraction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Two-aqueous phase extraction of chromium (III) as a solute from their aqueous solutions was investigated using polyethoxylated alcohols (CiEj) as a biodegradable non-ionic surfactant in the presence of anionic sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS ...
