The Reaction of 1,6-Diamino-4-aryl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine- 3,5-Dicarbonitriles with Certain Electrophilic Agents

open access: yesChemistry Proceedings, 2023
The reaction of 1,6-diamino-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarbonitriles, which are easily available through the reaction of cyanoacetohydrazide with arylmethylene malononitriles, with ninhydrin leads to the formation of novel dihydroindeno[1,2-e]pyrido[

Oxyanion and tetrahedral intermediate stabilization by subtilisin : detection of a new tetrahedral adduct

open access: yes, 2009
The peptide-derived glyoxal inhibitor Z-Ala-Ala-Phe-glyoxal has been shown to be ~10 fold more effective as an inhibitor of subtilisin than Z-Ala-Pro-Phe-glyoxal. Signals at 107.2 p.p.m. and 200.5 p.p.m.

Oligomer Formation in Evaporating Aqueous Glyoxal and Methyl Glyoxal Solutions

open access: yes, 2016
Glyoxal and methyl glyoxal are common secondary atmospheric pollutants, formed from aromatic and terpene precursors. Both compounds are extremely water-soluble due to dihydrate formation and partition into cloudwater.

Enhancing Biogenic Formic Acid Production in the Modified OxFA Process by Acetonitrile Addition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, the beneficial effect of using acetonitrile as a co‐solvent in the modified OxFA process is shown, outperforming methanol, demonstrating improved reaction kinetics combined with high selectivity for the HPA‐2 (H5PV2Mo10O40) catalyzed oxidation of xylose to FA.
