A dual tank precision sprayer to overcome antagonism of mixing dicamba and clethodim for control of volunteer corn in soybean

open access: yesAgricultural &Environmental Letters, Volume 11, Issue 1, June 2026.
Abstract The mixing of clethodim and dicamba in the same tank could lead to reduced grass weed control, suggesting antagonism. Recently commercialized precision dual tank sprayers can apply two herbicides simultaneously through different boom systems, which may reduce potential herbicide antagonism for effective grass weed control.

Peanut response following soybean grown full‐season or double‐cropped after wheat in North Carolina

open access: yesCrop, Forage &Turfgrass Management, Volume 12, Issue 1, June 2026.
Abstract Including soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] in the previous cropping cycle can adversely affect peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) yield by increasing disease incidence and populations of plant‐parasitic nematodes in the soil. The impact of double‐cropping wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and soybean versus full‐season soybean (referred to as the soybean

Dry Bean Cocoa Production in Papua New Guinea: Do IPDM Inputs Pay Off?

open access: yesAsia &the Pacific Policy Studies, Volume 13, Issue 2, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Cocoa is Papua New Guineaʼs (PNG) third‐largest agricultural export, supporting about two million smallholder farmers. Despite integrated pest and disease management (IPDM) systems to improve yields, adoption remains low. We surveyed two cocoa‐growing households—one near Balima (Madang Province) and the other near Manetai (Bougainville)—and ...

Generation of Maize 5-Enolpyruvylshikimate-3-Phosphate Synthase (EPSPS) Variants with Improved Glyphosate Tolerance

open access: yesInternational Journal of Plant Biology
Glyphosate (N-phosphonomethylglycine) is a broad-spectrum, foliar-applied herbicide that inhibits 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS) in plants.

‘Just Love Us, We'll Do the Rest’. Competing Repertoires of Agrarian Anti‐Environmentalism

open access: yesSociologia Ruralis, Volume 66, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Agrarian mobilisations no longer target solely public authorities, legislation and its economic and professional consequences. They are now increasingly structured to respond to other social movements and produce a structured discourse aimed at public opinion.

Evaluation of single versus multiple site of action preemergence herbicides for waterhemp and giant ragweed control in Wisconsin soybean

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract The use of preemergence (PRE) herbicides with soil residual activity is recognized as an effective strategy for early‐season weed management in Midwest US soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] production. The efficacy of soybean PRE herbicides with single and multiple sites of action (SOAs), including acetolactate synthase (ALS), photosystem II ...
