We report the first confirmed global case of Poa annua evolving resistance to indaziflam applied both preemergence and early‐postemergence. Resistance intensified under cool temperatures, was not reversed by metabolic inhibitors, and was often linked to multiple resistance, underscoring urgent needs for integrated weed management.

Has the Striga problem been solved? A field perspective critique of recent progress
The potential field efficacy of recently proposed breeding, biocontrol, suicidal germination, gene editing and transgenic solutions for Striga control is critically evaluated and mostly found wanting improvements. Abstract Three root‐parasitic witchweed (Striga) species can cause up to total loss of grain and legume crops for millions of farmers in ...

ABSTRACT As food safety issues gain increasing attention, the need for rapid, accurate, and low‐cost detection techniques becomes essential. Colorimetric sensors, known for their rapid response, high sensitivity, low cost, and readily observable results, are playing an increasingly important role in food quality inspection. This review article provides

Farmer behavior toward herbicide‐free agriculture and conservation tillage
Abstract Balancing conflicting policy goals is a key challenge in the transition to sustainable agricultural systems. An important example is herbicide use reduction potentially conflicting with conservation tillage—which often strongly relies on herbicide use.

The genetic architecture and spatiotemporal dynamics of adaptation across human‐modified landscapes
Summary Understanding the rate and nature of adaptation is crucial for managing biodiversity across our changing landscapes. This perspective synthesizes insights from resistance evolution – a case of rapid, repeated adaptation to extreme human‐mediated selection – to reveal how adaptive genetic architectures determine and feedback with evolutionary ...
