High Entropy Wide‐Bandgap Borates with Broadband Luminescence and Large Nonlinear Optical properties
High‐entropy rare‐earth borates exhibit excellent nonlinear optical and broadband luminescence properties arising from multi‐component doping, chemical disorder, increased configurational entropy, and increased lattice and electronic anharmonicity. This formulation enabled us to obtain a large, environmentally stable single crystal with 3X higher laser‐

From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

Dense Nanofibrillar Collagen–Silica Hybrids with High Strength and ECM‐Mimetic Tissue Integration
Dense nanofibrillar collagen–silica hybrids are engineered by synchronizing collagen fibrillogenesis with silica condensation, producing printable scaffolds that unexpectedly approach native extracellular matrix organization and strength. These cell‐free constructs guide endogenous cell‐infiltration, enable localized matrix remodeling, and integrate ...

Gold(I) and Gold(III) Corroles
Chemistry – A European Journal, 2011AbstractCorrole complexes with gold(I) and gold(III) were synthesized and their structural, photophysical, and electrochemical properties investigated. This work includes the X‐ray crystallography characterization of gold(I) and gold(III) complexes, both chelated by a corrole with fully brominated β‐pyrrole carbon atoms. The mononuclear and chiral gold(

Zeise's salt gets company: 185 years after the report of the well-known platinum(II) ethylene compound, examples of isolable olefin complexes of its isoelectronic neighbor in the periodic table, gold(III), have been prepared (see picture). The complexes are very susceptible towards nucleophilic attack; there is also structural evidence for AuIII–Ag ...

Luminescent (N^C^C) Gold(III) Complexes: Stabilized Gold(III) Fluorides
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2015AbstractWe report the design, synthesis, and application of a (N^C^C)‐ligand framework able to stabilize highly electron‐deprived gold(III) species. This novel platform enabled the preparation of C(sp2)‐gold(III) fluorides for the first time in monomeric, easy‐to‐handle, bench‐stable form by a Cl/F ligand‐exchange reaction.

Synthesis of Cyclometalated Gold(III) Complexes via Catalytic Rhodium to Gold(III) Transmetalation
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2022AbstractA catalytic method to synthesize a broad array of cyclometalated (C^N)gold(III) complexes is reported here. An unprecedented Rh‐to‐AuIII transmetalation allows the facile transfer of (C^N) ligands between these two metals in a redox‐neutral process.
