Exopolysaccharide‐Based Microencapsulation of Plant Growth‐Promoting Bacillus Strains Improves Germination, Growth, and Yield of Chilean Common Bean Cultivars

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 8, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Microbial biostimulants offer sustainable alternatives to chemical fertilizers in legume cultivation by enhancing seed germination, nutrient uptake, and stress resilience, while maintaining the yield. However, their practical application is often limited by weak shelf life and reduced viability under environmental conditions. In this study, we

Model‐Informed Dosing Regimen of Sugemalimab for European Patients With Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer: Bridging From Asian Clinical Data

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 15, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Model‐informed drug development (MIDD) framework was employed to bridge sugemalimab dosing from an Asian population to European patients with non‐small cell lung cancer. We evaluated whether a fixed dose of 1200 mg every 3 weeks (Q3W) provides adequate exposure for European patients and, if not, which weight threshold and alternative dose ...

Objective Posterior Analysis of kth Record Statistics in Gompertz Model

open access: yesAxioms
The Gompertz distribution has proven highly valuable in modeling human mortality rates and assessing the impacts of catastrophic events, such as plagues, financial crashes, and famines.

The Odd Generalized Exponential Gompertz Distribution

open access: yesApplied Mathematics, 2015
In this paper we propose a new lifetime model, called the odd generalized exponential gompertz distribution. We obtained some of its mathematical properties. Some structural properties of the new distribution are studied. The method of maximum likelihood is used for estimating the model parameters and the observed Fisher’s information matrix is derived.

Permutation Tests Based on the Copula‐Graphic Estimator and Their Use for Survival Tree Construction

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 6-7, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Survival trees are popular alternatives to Cox or Aalen regression models that offer both modeling flexibility and graphical interpretability. This paper introduces a new algorithm for survival trees that relaxes the assumption of independent censoring. To this end, we use the copula‐graphic estimator to estimate survival functions.

Alfalfa‐Based Dehydrated Silage Pellet as a Source of Nutrients in Laying Hens: I. Effects on Animal Performance and Egg Quality

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 2, March 2026.
Alfalfa‐based silage pellets (ABSP) showed significant results regarding production performance, yolk colour and ω‐3 (PUFAs), as well as the ratio ω‐6/ω‐3 (p < 0.05). The ABSP group also exhibited a higher abundance of beneficial bacteria and a lower abundance of pathogenic bacteria compared to the control group (p < 0.05).

Conservation evidence is biased but can support decision‐making for prevalent and severe threats in tetrapods

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 63, Issue 3, March 2026.
Despite taxonomic and spatial biases, substantial conservation evidence is available to support decision‐making by practitioners, particularly for the most prevalent and severe threats. Given the current biodiversity crisis, it is critical that this information is more widely used and that coordination among academic and practitioner partners is ...

Variation in herbivore defense strategies among plant species differing in elevational distribution and the role of temperature in defense

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 249, Issue 6, Page 3091-3103, March 2026.
Summary Temperature influences the distribution and performance of both plants and insect herbivores. Consequently, plant–herbivore interactions are likely to vary across thermal gradients, which could affect the evolution of plant defense. Furthermore, temperature fluctuations may elicit immediate changes in defense.

Hybrid Firefly–Bayesian Neural Network Estimation for Reliable Modeling of the Inverse Gompertz–Gumbel Family and NHPP Systems: Properties and Comparative Evaluation

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA)
The idea commonly accepted is that probability distributions play a major role in reliability modeling, whereas classical models are often not flexible enough to accommodate the complex behavior of life data.
