Differences in reactivity of paracoccidioidomycosis sera with gp43 isoforms [PDF]
The glycoprotein gp43 from Paracoccidioides brasiliensis is the main antigenic component in paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM) because it is recognized by 100% of PCM patients. It has also been shown that different fungal strains produce gp43 with at least four isoform profiles.

Diversity of structure and function of DNA polymerase (gp43) of T4-related bacteriophages
Biochemistry (Moscow), 2004The replication DNA polymerase (gp43) of the bacteriophage T4 is a member of the pol B family of DNA polymerases, which are found in all divisions of life in the biosphere. The enzyme is a modularly organized protein that has several activities in one polypeptide chain (approximately 900 amino acid residues). These include two catalytic functions, POL (

Paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM) is a systemic granulomatous disease caused by Paracoccidioides brasiliensis (Pb), a thermal dimorphic fungus. Its major antigen is a 43-kDa glycoprotein. Gp43 embodies different functions: it participates in evasion mechanisms during the installation of primary infection, stimulates granuloma-like formation in vitro and ...
