Accelerating advanced MRI reconstructions on GPUs [PDF]
Computational acceleration on graphics processing units (GPUs) can make advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reconstruction algorithms attractive in clinical settings, thereby improving the quality of MR images across a broad spectrum of applications. This paper describes the acceleration of such an algorithm on NVIDIA's Quadro FX 5600.

GPU Accelerated RNA Folding Algorithm [PDF]
In this chapter, we present an implementation of the main kernel in the widely used RNA folding package Unafold. Its key computation is a dynamic programming algorithm with complex dependency patterns, making it an a priori bad match for GPU computing.

GPU accelerated particle visualization with Splotch [PDF]
Splotch is a rendering algorithm for exploration and visual discovery in particle-based datasets coming from astronomical observations or numerical simulations. The strengths of the approach are production of high quality imagery and support for very large-scale datasets through an effective mix of the OpenMP and MPI parallel programming paradigms ...
