Full-Vectorial Fiber Mode Solver Based on a Discrete Hankel Transform

open access: yesPhotonics, 2021
It is crucial to be time and resource-efficient when enabling and optimizing novel applications and functionalities of optical fibers, as well as accurate computation of the vectorial field components and the corresponding propagation constants of the ...

Optimal pulse propagation in an inhomogeneously gas-filled hollow-core fiber

open access: yes, 2019
We study optical pulse propagation through a hollow-core fiber filled with a radially inhomogeneous cloud of cold atoms. A co-propagating control field establishes electromagnetically induced transparency.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Nonlinear multimodal interference and saturable absorption using a short graded-index multimode optical fiber

open access: yes, 2013
A detailed investigation of the nonlinear multimodal interference in a short graded-index multimode optical fiber is presented. The analysis is performed for a specific device geometry, where the light is coupled in and out of the multimode fiber via ...

Self-cleaning on a higher order mode in ytterbium-doped multimode fiber with parabolic profile [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We experimentally demonstrate polarization-dependent Kerr spatial beam self-cleaning into the LP11 mode of an Ytterbium-doped multimode optical fiber with parabolic gain and refractive index ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

100.4 W All-Fiber Visible Supercontinuum Source Based on Graded-Index Multimode Fiber

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
An all-fiber high-power visible light super-continuum (SC) source based on graded-index multimode fiber (GRIN MMF) is presented. In the experiment, a picosecond pulse laser with a center wavelength of 1062 nm is amplified by a multimode ytterbium-doped ...

Unidirectional mode coupling in graded index fibers

open access: yes13th International Conference on Metamaterials, Photonic Crystals and Plasmonics (META 2023): July 18-21, 2022 2023, Paris, France (Poster Presentation)., 2023
Unidirectional mode coupling in graded index fibersWe propose a new light management mechanism in parabolic index multimode fibers to control the mode distribution of the propagatedbeam. The effect is achieved through longitudinal non-Hermitian potential induced by simultaneous modulations of the index andgain/loss profile. The non-Hermitian modulation

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
