A series of ultraviolet‐ and near‐infrared radiation sensitive photoactivatable hydrogels are developed that can be controlled spatiotemporally down to µm precisions using one‐ and two‐photon uncaging. The latent hydroxylamine‐, hydrazine‐, and amine uncaged moieties are used to photopattern a series of diverse proteins displaying complimentary ...

Supramolecular biomimetic nanoaggregates (HFCu NAs), constructed with fluorinated histidine and copper ions via metal coordination and aromatic packing, exhibit enhanced reactive oxygen species (ROS)generation at tumor sites, which results in stepwise collapse of the extracellular matrix (ECM), affording tumor microenvironment responsive “turn‐on” 19F ...

Increased semi-allogeneic skin graft survival after FTY720 treatment
FTY720 is a new compound which increases allograft survival in animal models through not fully elucidated mechanisms. Purpose: We investigated the effects of the FTY720 administration in semi-allogeneic skin graft survival in an animal model and its ...

Flat grafting deformations of quadratic differentials on surfaces [PDF]
In this paper we introduce flat grafting as a deformation of quadratic differentials on a surface of finite type that is analogous to the grafting map on hyperbolic surfaces. Flat grafting maps are generic in the strata structure and preserve parallel measured foliations.

Graft survival in pediatric liver transplantation
Liver transplantation is standard therapy for children with a variety of liver diseases. The current shortage of organ donors has led to aggressive use of reduced or split grafts and living-related donors to provide timely liver transplants to these children.

Carboxyl‐functionalized graphene quantum dots (cGQDs) exhibit high singlet oxygen quantum yield due to strong spin–orbit coupling. cGQDs achieve minimum bactericidal concentration of only 0.4 µg mL−1 against S. aureus under low‐intensity illumination.

Graft Copolymers of Maleic Anhydride and Its Isostructural Analogues: High Performance Engineering Materials [PDF]
This review summarizes the main advances published over the last 15 years outlining the different methods of grafting, including reactive extruder systems, surface modification, grafting and graft copolymerization of synthetic and natural polymers with maleic anhydride and its isostructural analogues such as maleimides and maleates, and anhydrides ...

A hybrid‐nested microneedle/cryogel scaffold (MQW‐CMg‐MOF) is designed for efficient biofilm removal and accelerated healing of diabetic wounds. The scaffold shows substantial biofilm removal in vitro and in a preclinical diabetic swine biofilm‐infected wound model compared to the control.
