Non-sterile Grafting Methods for Arabidopsis

2020
Mobile signals play pivotal roles in coordinating interorgan communication. Grafting provides an effective strategy to identify and explore the movement of the mobile signals. The mutant collection of Arabidopsis offers background-free living materials for examining the transport of mobile signals in vivo.

The open method of skin grafting

The American Journal of Surgery, 1957
Abstract The open method of free skin grafting utilizes no bandages and, on most occasions, no sutures. This method is physiologically correct as it depends upon the intrinsic adherent forces of the fibrin clot beneath the graft for its seal. Once sealed by the clot, the infiltration of fibrous connective tissue and capillaries complete the fibrous ...

A New Method of Skin Graft Adhesion

Scandinavian Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1983
An industrially produced fibrinogen-Aprotinin and thrombin-calcium chloride 'tissue glue', Tisseel, has been tested for skin grafting. The 'take' of the graft was successful in 92% after grafting with Tisseel, and in 83% without gluing. In difficult areas, such as over mobile muscle or close to skin folds, 88% of cases were successful with tissue ...

Grafting chitosan and polyHEMA on carbon nanotubes surfaces: “Grafting to” and “Grafting from” methods

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2014
We report a simple method for engineering chitosan (CS) functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) composites with a biomedically important polymer, poly-2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (polyHEMA), by chemical grafting HEMA monomers via free radical polymerization. Functionalization of CS and polyHEMA occurred in three steps.

Method for Preparing Meshed Skin Grafts Without Using Skin-Graft Meshers

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1991
We have described a method of preparing meshed skin grafts without resorting to use of a skin mesher. The method is applicable when a mesher is not available during an operation.

An alternative method of skin grafting: the scalp microdermis graft

Burns, 1995
Although microskin grafting has been used successfully to treat major burns, when the donor skin areas are inadequate, it is still not in popular use because of the difficulties of mincing and floating procedures. Floating is expected to produce more microskin patches with the dermal side upwards than with the epidermal side upwards. Another problem is

DIFFERENT WHIP GRAFTING METHODS ON WALNUT

Acta Horticulturae, 2001
This research was conducted to increase the success of walnut propagation using different whip grafting methods. Graftings were applied to potted and unpotted seedlings under controlled and uncontrolled conditions in the early spring time of 1998-1999, in Bursa vicinity. All graftings were done by hand using cvs.
