Open method of free skin grafting
The American Journal of Surgery, 1951Abstract Methods of free skin grafting are the open, closed and intermediate methods. Important factors to be considered in the open method are as follows: (1) Epidermis has no direct blood supply but lives on tissue fluid. We attempt to set the stage so that ever flowing springs of tissue fluid seep from the body into the free skin graft.

A Simple Method to Harvest Dural Grafts
Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 1995A small rectangular wire loop was designed to harvest dural graft from rats. This loop was used successfully to take 40 dural grafts from 20 infant and 20 adult rats. The technique is presented in detail.

Several methods were tried and scions of pines were grafted on the stocks of pines sometimes belonging to quite distant taxonomic groups.
