Circadian rhythm of Liposcelis entomophila and Liposcelis paeta in paddy warehouse

open access: yesJulius-Kühn-Archiv, 2018
Booklice is a small but serious stored grain pest, and understanding the circadian rhythm of booklice help to control. In this study, circadian activity of booklice were monitored with sticky traps in the grain bulk surfaces of two warehouses stored ...

Benchmarking the cosmological master equations

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
Master equations are commonly employed in cosmology to model the effect of additional degrees of freedom, treated as an “environment”, onto a given “system”.

Yasenka’ is a new word in obtaining the ‘golden grain’ of durum wheat

open access: yesЗерновое хозяйство России, 2021
The purpose of the current study was to develop a new drought-resistant initial material, adapted to local conditions and spring durum wheat varieties on its basis. Due to the method of intraspecific hybridization and individual selection, there has been

Grain bank or grain reserve?

open access: yesIntereconomics, 1977
This article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of grain reserves and grain banks. One important argument against establishing official reserves is that they are more likely to stiffen the barriers to food trade whereas a financial grain bank might be used to reduce those barriers. A regime of trade in which markets for food crops are more open

Modular multilevel converter with modified half-bridge submodule and arm filter for dc transmission systems with DC fault blocking capability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Although a modular multilevel converter (MMC) is universally accepted as a suitable converter topology for the high voltage dc transmission systems, its dc fault ride performance requires substantial improvement in order to be used in critical ...

Elucidating prognostic significance of purine metabolism in colorectal cancer through integrating data from transcriptomic, immunohistochemical, and single‐cell RNA sequencing analysis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low expression of five purine metabolism‐related genes (ADSL, APRT, ADCY3, NME3, NME6) was correlated with poor survival in colorectal cancer. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that low NME3 (early stage) and low ADSL/NME6 (late stage) levels were associated with high risk.

GRAIN-GRAIN INTERACTION IN OSCILLATING SHEETFLOW

open access: yesCoastal Engineering Proceedings, 1988
Viscous grain-grain interaction is an important aspect of the dynamics of oscillating sheetflow. This interaction between sand grains has been investigated qualitatively in a pulsating water tunnel. Furthermore, experiments concerning the interaction between neutrally buoyant spheres in a Couette flow have been carried out at a scale of 100:1 in a new ...

Ubiquitination of transcription factors in cancer: unveiling therapeutic potential

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In cancer, dysregulated ubiquitination of transcription factors contributes to the uncontrolled growth and survival characteristics of tumors. Tumor suppressors are degraded by aberrant ubiquitination, or oncogenic transcription factors gain stability through ubiquitination, thereby promoting tumorigenesis.
