Contribution of different yield components for grain yield improvement in Maize (Zea mays L.) [PDF]
Seventy two maize (Zea mays L.) hybrids along with their parental lines were assessed for genetic correlation among 14quantitative traits. All the traits studied exhibited a positive and significant correlation with grain yield except days to tasselling ...

Relation between grain-size and correlation length of snow [PDF]
AbstractIn the past it has often been difficult to compare results of different types of snow-structural information. Grain-size and correlation length are such parameters of granular media, and there exist different definitions and different measurement methods for both of them.

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Barley is a strategic crop worldwide predominantly cleistogamous. This automatic self-pollination favorable among others for spike resistance to Fusarium and to Ustillago nuda is essentially assured by lodicules in grain.

Localized Ferromagnetic Resonance in Inhomogeneous Thin Films [PDF]
The effect of sample inhomogeneity on the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth is determined by diagonalization of a spin wave Hamiltonian for ferromagnetic thin films with inhomogeneities spanning a wide range of characteristic length scales.

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Correlation and path coefficient studies in barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) under dual purpose condition [PDF]
Twenty two barley genotypes were evaluated for green fodder yield, grain yield and related morphological characters. Plant height, spike length, number of spikelets per spike, number of grains per spike, number of tillers per meter row length and test ...

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Grain size is an important agronomic trait and influences both grain yield and quality in crops. The atypical heterotrimeric Gγ protein subunit GS3 is a central regulator of grain length in rice, and the loss-of-function allele of its corresponding gene ...
