Effect of Wheat Sprouting Degree on the Eating Quality of Whole Wheat Noodles [PDF]
With a view to investigating the effect of wheat sprouting degree on the cooking quality, textural characteristics and sensory evaluation of dried whole wheat noodles, whole wheat flours with different degrees of wheat sprouting (bulging, revealing ...

Loss mechanisms of surface plasmon polaritons on gold probed by cathodoluminescence imaging spectroscopy [PDF]
We use cathodoluminescence imaging spectroscopy to excite surface plasmon polaritons and measure their decay length on single crystal and polycrystalline gold surfaces. The surface plasmon polaritons are excited on the gold surface by a nanoscale focused

Characterization of Genetic Diversity to Ecological Stripe Rust Resistance in Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) [PDF]
Wheat is the most commonly cultivated crop in the world and is a staple diet for many people. The current study was carried out in the field to evaluate the 51genotypes based on morphological and physiological traits under artificial inoculation by ...

Dislocation Dynamics in an Anisotropic Stripe Pattern
The dynamics of dislocations confined to grain boundaries in a striped system are studied using electroconvection in the nematic liquid crystal N4. In electroconvection, a striped pattern of convection rolls forms for sufficiently high driving voltages ...

A model for the condensation of a dusty plasma [PDF]
A model for the condensation of a dusty plasma is constructed by considering the spherical shielding layers surrounding a dust grain test particle. The collisionless region less than a collision mean free path from the test particle is shown to separate ...

Definition of the persistence length in the coarse-grained models of DNA elasticity
By considering the detailed structure of DNA in the base pair level, two possible definitions of the persistence length are compared. One definition is related to the orientation of the terminal base pairs, and the other is based on the vectors which connect two adjacent base pairs at each end of the molecule.
