Studies on the productivity of grain sorghum. I. Nitrogen nutrition of grain sorghum.

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Crop Science, 1979
Sorghum hybrid H-726 was grown in sol. culture with 17.5, 44, 88, 220 or 440 p.p.m. N. Plant fresh wt. increased rapidly until the dough stage, then the rate decreased. The N uptake followed a similar pattern and N content of plant parts increased with age and with increasing N conc. in the medium.
