Semi‐Artificial Photosynthesis Enables Light‐Driven Biomanufacturing in Non‐Photosynthetic Bacteria

A non‐invasive strategy exploits endogenous H2S metabolism in B. subtilis to drive in situ CdS biomineralization, enabling tight bio‐abiotic contact without genetic modification. Light harvested by the biomineralized nanoparticles powers NADPH regeneration, elevating 2’‐fucosyllactose and surfactin titres two‐ to three‐fold.

MRSA‐Triggered Disassembly of an Immune‐Recruiting NIR Probe for Bacterial Imaging and Clearance

A bacteria–immune cell‐bridging supramolecular amphiphile, Dman‐C11, undergoes MRSA membrane‐triggered disassembly to activate NIR fluorescence and photodynamic killing, inducing ferroptosis‐like bacterial death and immune‐assisted clearance in wound infection and keratitis models.
