In vitro efficacy of fosfomycin against clinical strains [PDF]
Objective: Fosfomycin is an alternative drug for treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections. This study aimed to investigate in vitro activity of fosfomycin against ethicillinresistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), methicillinresistant ...

Bacteriocins to Thwart Bacterial Resistance in Gram Negative Bacteria
An overuse of antibiotics both in human and animal health and as growth promoters in farming practices has increased the prevalence of antibiotic resistance in bacteria.

Oligonucleotide recombination in Gram-negative bacteria [PDF]
This report describes several key aspects of a novel form of RecA-independent homologous recombination. We found that synthetic single-stranded DNA oligonucleotides (oligos) introduced into bacteria by transformation can site-specifically recombine with bacterial chromosomes in the absence of any additional phage-encoded functions.

Systems Biology and Pangenome of Salmonella O-Antigens. [PDF]
O-antigens are glycopolymers in lipopolysaccharides expressed on the cell surface of Gram-negative bacteria. Variability in the O-antigen structure constitutes the basis for the establishment of the serotyping schema. We pursued a two-pronged approach to

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

Cyanide, An Environmental Inhibitor of Predation by Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus HD100 [PDF]
Department of Biological SciencesBALOs are predatory bacteria attacking specific Gram-negative prey bacteria and have been studied about both their life itself and their possibility to be used as alternatives to antibiotics.

AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.
