Molecular, Cellular, and Structural Biology of Grapevine fanleaf virus

2017
Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) is one of the 15 viruses causing fanleaf degeneration, one of the most detrimental viral diseases of grapevines worldwide. GFLV belongs to the genus Nepovirus in the family Secoviridae. It was the first phytovirus for which transmission by an ectoparasitic dagger nematode vector was demonstrated and the first Nepovirus ...

Grapevine fanleaf virus detection in various grapevine organs using polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies

1986
Monoclonal antibodies prepared with grapevine fanleaf virus (GFV) are useful for detecting the virus in plant extracts. In this paper we describe comparisons between different ELISA techniques using rabbit and chicken immunoglobulins as weil as monoclonal antibodies (MCA).

COUNTERDEFENSE OF HOST INNATE IMMUNITY BY GRAPEVINE FANLEAF VIRUS

427 pages ; Plants utilize RNA silencing as a conserved and effective defense mechanism against viruses. To counteract this antiviral defense pathway, plant viruses have evolved to encode one or multiple proteins known as viral suppressors of RNA silencing (VSRs) that interfere with specific steps of the RNA silencing pathways.
