Benefit-Cost Analysis of Environmental Projects: A Plethora of Systematic Biases [PDF]
There are many reasons to suspect that benefit-cost analysis applied to environmental policies will result in policy decisions that will reject those environmental policies.

Multiband Switchable Microwave Absorbing Metamaterials Based on Reconfigurable Kirigami–Origami
A reconfigurable metamaterial featuring tunable microwave‐absorbing and load‐bearing performance is proposed. Stretchable kirigami and bistable origami configurations are integrated as actuating components, and the synergistic deformation mechanisms are systematically analyzed.

We introduce a nucleic acid nanoparticle (NANP) platform designed to be rrecognized by the human innate immune system in a regulated manner. By changing chemical composition while maintaining constant architectural parameters, we identify key determinants of immunorecognition enabling the rational design of NANPs with tunable immune activation profiles

Sequence Transduction with Recurrent Neural Networks [PDF]
Many machine learning tasks can be expressed as the transformation---or \emph{transduction}---of input sequences into output sequences: speech recognition, machine translation, protein secondary structure prediction and text-to-speech to name but a few ...

Well‐structured graphene hybrid architectures featuring spatially resolved fluorescent properties represent a promising but so‐far elusive synthetic target. A robust and straightforward method for fabricating well‐organized graphene‐dye hybrid nanoassemblies through a combination of reductive patterning and conventional click chemistry is presented ...

Charge‐Induced Morphing Gels for Bioinspired Actuation
This study introduces a novel electroactive actuation mechanism that enables the gel material to generate substantial and reversible shape‐changing while preserving topological and isochoric (volumetric) equivalence. The resultant morphing behaviors can mimic the movements of muscle‐driven organelles in nature, including cilia‐like beating and ...

The early settlement of Sarmatians in Wallachia / Situri sarmatice timpurii în Muntenia
This study aims to analyse the finds that can be connected to what we defined as being the first stage of Sarmatian diffusion in Wallachia. The purpose is not to insist on the date of the arrival, which was debated on several occasions, for it would mean
