CORRECTION TO HELMERT'S ORTHOMETRIC HEIGHT DUE TO ACTUAL LATERAL VARIATION OF TOPOGRAPHICAL DENSITY [PDF]
Helmert (1890) used Poincaré-Prey's gravity gradient for the definition of the orthometric height. According to this approach the gravity value needed for the evaluation of the height is obtained from the observed gravity at the earth surface reduced to ...

Nonlocomotory Robotic Strategies for Dynamic Rotation Control in Terrestrial Robots: A Review
Terrestrial robots increasingly require rapid body rotation to maintain stability and agility in complex environments. This review shows nonlocomotory rotational control strategies that operate without ground contact, including reaction wheels, tails, bars, limbs, and thrusters.

Nonlocal Time-Gradient Gravity
This work is presented only as a theoretical framework, intended to outline the concept of Nonlocal Time-Gradient Gravity (NLTG). The detailed mathematical derivations, rigorous field equations, and quantitative comparisons with observational data are left for future work.

Multidirectional Motion Strategy of Miniature Water Surface Robot Actuated by Single Exciter
A novel multidirectional motion strategy on the water surface based on a single exciter is proposed, and a single‐exciter single‐plate module is developed for actuation. The driving forces generation mechanism of the module is revealed from the perspective of the asymmetric surface wave field.

Modeling of vertical gravity gradient for purposes of gravimetric survey
The knowledge of the vertical gradient of the gravity field is of great importance in gravimetry and consequently in geodesy, since the gravity acceleration measured with the instrument must be reduced to a stabilized point.
