Wide Temperature Zero Thermal Expansion in Al Matrix Composites with High Thermal Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Strain engineering strategy is implemented on the negative thermal expansion (NTE) phase Zn1.6Mg0.4P2O7 within composites, where Al matrix‐induced compressive strain drives uniform polyhedral and unit cell evolution, thereby enabling broad and consistent thermal compensation efficacy and obtaining good thermal performance.

The Economics of Rotational Grazing in the Gulf Coast Region: Costs, Returns, and Labor Considerations, Phase II

open access: yes
Profitability and labor associated with rotational grazing at three stocking rates and continuous grazing at a medium stocking rate are compared. On a per-acre basis, profits are lowest for low stocking rate rotational grazing.

In Situ Pseudo‐Halide Diffusion Enables Buried Interface Regulation and Crystallinity Enhancement in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thermally activated LiHCOO induces in situ pseudo‐halide diffusion, promoting buried interface strain release and perovskite crystallization. The monoclinic LiHCOO phase forms an open framework structure that enhances HCOO− diffusion and drives interfacial restructuring.

Thermal Spin Coated PbS QD SWIR Imager for Non‐Invasive Glucose Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thermal spin‐coating enables controlled film formation of PbS quantum dots, leading to denser packing, reduced defect‐assisted transport, and improved carrier extraction. The resulting photodetectors exhibit suppressed dark current, enhanced responsivity, and faster response.

Resolving Range Conflict in Nevada? The Potential for Compensation via Monetary Payouts and Grazing Alternatives [PDF]

open access: yes
In response to environmental pressure, public land agencies in Nevada have reduced animal unit months (AUMs) of grazing on public lands. This has resulted in economic losses to ranchers, increased conflict between ranchers and the public land agencies ...

Relationship between diurnal grazing time and herbage intake in dairy cows in rotational grazing

open access: yes, 2011
The aim of this study was describe the relationship between grazing time and herbage intake and identify tools to grazing management of dairy cows grazing Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) on a rotational grazing method.

Selenophene π‐Bridge Enables Balanced Ambipolar Transport in High‐Performance Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We synthesized a high‐performance balanced ambipolar OECT polymer, P(gTDPPSe), via selenophene π‐bridge engineering. The selenophene π‐bridge enhances backbone planarity and optimizes the energy levels for doping, enabling high and balanced p/n‐type transconductance‐a key factor for high‐gain complementary inverters.

GRAZING, GOODS AND GIRTH: DETERMINANTS AND EFFECTS [PDF]

open access: yes
Using the 2006-07 American Time Use Survey and its Eating and Health Module, I show that over half of adult Americans report grazing (secondary eating/drinking) on a typical day, with grazing time almost equaling primary eating/drinking time. An economic

Dynamic Evolution‐Controlled Parabolic‐Shaped Microstructures for Ultra‐Black Surface via Self‐Assembled Microsphere Mask Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A robust, substrate‐independent fabrication approach overcomes the spectral and geometric limitations of traditional stray‐light suppression. By combining ink spray‐coating with self‐assembled microsphere mask etching, this method produces parabolic‐shaped microstructures on diverse planar and curved engineering components.

Effect of sward surface height on intake and grazing behaviour by lactating Holstein Friesian cows

open access: yes, 1997
The effect of sward surface height (SSH) on grazing behaviour and intake by lactating Holstein Friesian cows on continuously stocked grass pastures maintained at mean heights of 5, 7 and 9 cm was studied during the growing season.
