Multi‐Modal Low‐Power Adaptive Braille Recognition System Based on Hf0.3Zr0.7O2 Memristor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multimodal adaptive perception system based on HZO ferroelectric memristor realizes efficient Braille digit recognition via reservoir computing. It delivers high recognition accuracy with ultralow‑energy analog computation, offering a promising hardware solution for environment‑robust neuromorphic assistive devices for visually impaired users ...

Nesting behaviour of the great apes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
While studying different literature about nesting behaviour I found that most researchers agree that this is an important specie-typical behaviour, and the great apes will build nests both in the wild and in captive settings.

Beyond Biomimetics: Pathology‐Informed Engineering Rescues Reconstituted HDL From Inflammatory Dysfunction for Sepsis Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A pathology‐informed engineering strategy rescues reconstituted HDL from inflammatory dysfunction in sepsis. By integrating a ceria nanozyme‐celastrol coordination complex, the platform preserves HDL structure and endotoxin handling, sustains hierarchical intracellular delivery, and enhances immunoregulation across pathological models, translating ...

Matrix Rigidity Mechanoprimes Microglia for Inflammation Through Cytoskeletal‐to‐Nuclear Signaling and 3D Spatio‐Epigenomic Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pathological tissue rigidity mechanoprimes microglia by enhancing actin cytoskeleton–nucleus coupling and chromatin opening at rigidity‐responsive cis‐regulatory elements (mechanoCREs). Subsequent NF‐κB/p65 signaling converges on this permissive regulatory state to amplify inflammatory gene expression and microglial activation.

Smart Bioinks for 4D Bioprinting: Requirements, Design, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Smart bioinks empower 4D‐bioprinted constructs to dynamically adapt and remodel in response to stimuli, effectively biomimicking native tissues. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) play a guiding role in their rational design by optimizing relevant properties.

Highly Stable and Non‐Volatile Optoelectronic Synapses for Sensing, Memory, and Computing Enabled by a Deep‐Potential Floating Gate

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A deep‐potential metal floating gate integrates electrical programming, optical partial erasure, and synaptic weight modulation in a MoS2/h‐BN/Au transistor. The device provides a 97.6 V memory window, retention beyond 3000 s, endurance over 1600 cycles, and reproducible operation after 200 days of ambient storage.
