In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Review of source models for reproducing and predicting strong motions by empirical Green's function method

open access: yesJapan Architectural Review
Short‐period ground motions from earthquakes are calculated by semiempirical methods such as the empirical Green's function method or the stochastic Green's function method.

THE ALL-SOURCE GREEN’S FUNCTION AND ITS APPLICATIONS TO TSUNAMI PROBLEMS [PDF]

open access: yesScience of Tsunami Hazards, 2007
The classical Green’s function provides the global linear response to impulse forcing at a particular source location. It is a type of one-source-all-receiver Green’s function.

REDUCED p-MODULUS, p-HARMONIC RADIUS AND p-HARMONIC GREEN’S MAPPINGS

open access: yesПроблемы анализа, 2018
We consider the definitions and properties of the metric characteristics of the spatial domains previously introduced by the author, and their connection with the class of mappings, the particular case of which are the harmonic Green’s mappings ...

Cell density–dependent nuclear‐cytoplasmic shuttling of SETDB1 integrates with Hippo signaling to regulate YAP1‐mediated transcription

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
At low cell density, SETDB1 and YAP1 accumulate in the nucleus. As cell density increases, the Hippo pathway is gradually activated, and SETDB1 is associated with increased YAP1 phosphorylation. At high cell density, phosphorylated YAP1 is sequestered in the cytoplasm, while SETDB1 becomes polyubiquitinated and degraded by the ubiquitin–proteasome ...
