Evaluation of Green Inhibitors

4th International Pipeline Conference, Parts A and B, 2002
Producing pipelines are protected from internal corrosion by the application of corrosion inhibitors. Environmental effects of corrosion inhibitors have received increased attention in recent years, especially for offshore pipelines. In response to the drive for more environmentally friendly inhibitors, several “green” corrosion inhibitors have been ...

Prolyl Endopeptidase inhibitors from green tea

Archives of Pharmacal Research, 2001
Three prolyl endopeptidase (PEP) inhibitors were isolated from the methanolic extract of green tea leaves. They were identified as (-)-epigallocatechin gallate, (-)-epicatechin gallate, and (+)-gallocatechin gallate with the IC50 values of 1.42 x 10(-4) mM, 1.02 x 10(-2) mM, and 1.09 x 10(-4) mM, respectively. They were non-competitive with a substrate

Green corrosion inhibitors

Pitture e Vernici, 2000
There is a growing interest for the use of non toxic chemicals as corrosion inhibtors in order to reduce the environmental impact of their discharge in natural waters. Sodium, calcium and zinc salts of gluconic acid have been found to be effective against corrosion of carbon steel in neutral water solutions.

Synthetic Green Corrosion Inhibitors

2022
Recently, one step multicomponent reactions (MCRs) and nonconventional microwave (MW) and ultrasound (US) irradiation have emerged as highly efficient methods for various chemical transformations. The compounds derived from MCRs, MW and US methods are widely used as corrosion inhibitors for different metals and alloys in various electrolytes.

Advances in green hydrate inhibitors

Global Journal of Engineering and Technology Advances
Gas hydrate blockage is a major issue that the production and transportation processes in the oil/gas industry faces. The formation of gas hydrates in pipelines results in significant financial losses and serious safety risks. To tackle the flow assurance issues caused by gas hydrate formation in the pipelines, some physical methods and chemical ...
