Green Design Methods for Mass Customization
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014With the wide application of MC (mass customization) in manufacturing which can deal with the customer diversification and their individual requirements, the traditional green design method could not meet the demand of product development any more. This paper summarized native and external achievements related to green design and MC, and proposed two ...

Green function approach to mass fluctuation waves
Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 1972In earlier work, a model Hamiltonian has been used to study in detail the effects of4He impurities in solid3He. Starting with this Hamiltonian we use the Green function method, with a suitable decoupling scheme, to study the “mass fluctuation” waves caused by the impurities, and also to study the effect of the impurity terms in the Hamiltonian on the ...

Nonisotropic Mass Transfer Model for Green Bean Drying
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1997Two diffusional models were developed for finite cylindrical shaped bodies which take into account that mass transfer could have a nonisotropic nature. In the first model, sample shrinkage was ignored; thus, it was solved by the separation of variables method.

Final Step to Green En Masse Financially
Journal of Applied Business and EconomicsWe make seven direct intra-brand comparisons between legacy carmakers’ electric vehicle (EV) and gas-powered vehicle who achieved top ten most-efficient electric vehicles in America. We find six out of the seven EVs will be able to breakeven the higher price relative to their gas counterparts within reasonable gas price range, electricity charge range,

A Green function approach to effective mass theory
Proceedings of the Physical Society, 1967Effective mass theory is reformulated in terms of one-electron Green's functions. This enables a generalization of effective mass theory to be made and leads to an approximate Green function for the periodic lattice. The Green function is evaluated for a two-band model and used to calculate the energy levels of a hydrogenic impurity.

Mass Spawning by Green Algae on Coral Reefs
Science, 1997Predawn episodes of mass spawning by green algae (up to nine species in five genera on a single morning) intermittently cloud Caribbean waters. Species- and sex-specific bouts of anisogamous gamete release occurred synchronously and predictably on a given morning, with closely related species spawning at different times.

Heat and Mass Transfer in Green Wood During Fires
Heat Transfer: Volume 2 — Symposium on Fire and Combustion Systems; Thermal-Hydraulics in Nuclear and Hazardous Waste Processing and Disposal; Transport Phenomena in Materials Processing, 1995Abstract An experimental and analytical study of the processes of heat and mass transfer from green wood during simulated fires is presented. The effect of the species and green wood moisture variation on its thermal response is also presented.

Linking green management and mass customization
2012The need to bridge mass customization (MC) with green management (GM) is starting to be recognized in literature. To date, this emerging discussion has been almost exclusively conceptual or simulation-based. To contribute to the empirical grounding of this discussion, we present the preliminary results of a longitudinal case study in a company faced ...

Complementary capabilities for green mass customization
2013More and more firms today have to cope with the challenge of combining mass customization and green management, but research on green mass customization is still limited. To narrow this gap, we empirically investigate whether complementarities between organizational capabilities supporting mass customization (MCCs) and organizational capabilities ...
