On strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2001
Equity is of fundamental concern in the quest for international cooperation to stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations by the reduction of emissions. By modeling the carbon cycle, we estimate the global CO 2 emissions that would be required to stabilize the atmospheric concentration of CO

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

Electrochromic Adaptive Solar Heater and Sub‐Ambient Passive Daytime Radiative Cooler

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An electrochromic Cu–Bi nanocluster device dynamically switches between solar heating and daytime sub‐ambient radiative cooling without mechanical motion. Defect‐activated graphene, minimized electrolyte loss, and pulse‐assisted reversible electrodeposition enable opposite solar and mid‐infrared modulation in one opaque platform, establishing a design ...
